1. Crow and Gate, Pound Gate
The Crow and Gate is a Vintage Inns pub on the Uckfield Road at Pound Gate, south of Crowborough. The pub says it was “originally owned by the gatekeeper of Crowborough Gate” and that travellers have been stopping there “for over 200 years”, and it points walkers to Ashdown Forest on the doorstep.
Its Christmas Day menu is £92.95 for three courses and the children’s Christmas Day menu is £40.50. The festive menu for December starts at £31.95 for two courses and £34.95 for three.

2. Nevill Crest and Gun, Eridge Green
The Nevill Crest and Gun is a Brunning and Price pub on Eridge Road at Eridge Green, north of Crowborough on the way to Tunbridge Wells, and calls itself a building with “500 years of history”. Its Christmas Day menu is £109.95 a head, a set menu that opens with duck confit and green peppercorn terrine; once you book, the pub sends a link to pre-order.
On Christmas Day the pub opens 11am to 4pm and serves the menu from 12 noon to 2pm. The Christmas Fayre menu runs from Friday 27 November to Thursday 24 December at £33.95 for two courses or £39.95 for three.

The Hare is the Nevill Crest and Gun’s sister pub, also run by Brunning and Price, at Langton Green, west of Tunbridge Wells. Its Christmas Day menu is the same £109.95 set menu, served from 12 noon to 2pm; the pub opens 10.30am to 4pm that day.
The Christmas Fayre menu runs from 27 November to 24 December at £32.95 for two courses or £38.95 for three, a pound less than at Eridge.

4. Ashdown Park Hotel, Wych Cross
Ashdown Park is the country house hotel at Wych Cross, south of Forest Row, and its Christmas Day lunch is in the Anderida Restaurant, which the hotel says holds two AA Rosettes. Its festive dining brochure describes a Champagne and canapé reception in the Cocktail Bar, then a four-course lunch with coffee and petit fours, accompanied by the resident pianist.
It costs £155 an adult and £110 for children up to 16. Through December, a three-course festive lunch is £35 (daily, 12pm to 5pm) and a festive dinner £49 (Wednesday to Saturday).

8. The Griffin Inn, Fletching
The Griffin is a Young’s pub with rooms on the High Street in Fletching, and its Christmas page promises “a roaring fire” and “fizz-filled Christmas Day feasting”. The Christmas Day menu is £120 a head and the youngsters’ menu £60 for three courses; the files sit under an old upload folder, but the documents were created in May and June 2026.
The pub is open 12pm to 6pm on Christmas Day. Its Festive Feast menu for December is £48 for three courses.
Its hygiene rating is 3, the lowest in this guide.

The Blackboys Inn opens for drinks only from 12pm to 2pm on Christmas Day, according to its Christmas page. Crowborough Beacon Golf Club’s Christmas events are for members and guests, and we could not find a 2026 Christmas Day lunch for the public. Buxted Park Hotel’s festive dining page did not load for us and gave no year against its prices, so it is left out until we can check it.
