The parade musters in Croft Road car park at 10.20am on 8 November for 11am wreaths at Chapel Green. Church Road shuts 9.45 to 11.30am. Armistice Day too.

Crowborough’s Remembrance Sunday is on 8 November 2026. The parade assembles in the lower Croft Road car park at 10.20am, marches to the war memorial on Chapel Green for wreath laying at 11am, and is followed by a service at All Saints Church. Church Road is closed from 9.45am to 11.30am. If you only want the wreath laying, be at Chapel Green before 11am.

Every detail here comes from Crowborough Town Council’s own council events page, which carries the town’s 2026 programme, checked on 4 October 2026.

Is it on this year?

Yes. The council lists both Remembrance Sunday (8 November) and Armistice Day (Wednesday 11 November) in its confirmed 2026 programme, with times and road closures. Both are free and open to everyone.

Remembrance Sunday, 8 November

  • 10.20am: the parade assembles in the lower car park at Croft Road car park.
  • 11am: wreath laying at the war memorial, Chapel Green.
  • Afterwards: a service of remembrance at All Saints Church, Chapel Green.
  • Road closure: Church Road, 9.45am to 11.30am.

The council’s listing gives the time as “11.00am (10.20am if you would like to join the Remembrance Day Parade)”. Anyone who wants to march with the parade should be at Croft Road by 10.20am; everyone else can go straight to Chapel Green.

Jarvis Brook has its own service. St Michael & All Angels Church, Jarvis Brook, holds a Remembrance service at 10.30am, “to which all are welcome”, in the council’s words. Because it starts before the 11am wreath laying in the town centre, it is a choice between the two rather than both.

Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November

  • 10.45am to noon at the war memorial on Chapel Green, where people are invited to muster.
  • 10.55am: a welcome from the President of the Crowborough & District Veterans, then the Last Post and the Exhortation.
  • 11am: a maroon is fired to start the two minutes’ silence, and a second maroon ends it.
  • Road closure: Church Road, 10.30am to noon.

The maroons are loud. If you are bringing a dog or small children, it is worth knowing they are coming.

Parking and getting there

Croft Road car park is where the parade forms up, so expect the lower deck to be busy from before 10am on the Sunday. The council has not published any car park closure for either day. Our Crowborough parking page lists the town centre car parks and their charges, and the Church Road closures will show on Crowborough roadworks and travel once East Sussex Highways lists them.

What is not published yet

The council has not named a Remembrance Sunday preacher, a band, or the order of service for All Saints. Nothing on its page suggests the timings will change, and this page will be updated if they do.

Other events that week

The town council’s fireworks display is on Thursday 5 November at Goldsmiths Recreation Ground, three days before: see Crowborough fireworks and bonfire night. For everything else on in town this month, see What’s on in Crowborough.
